Hendersonville 2 - Father Ryan 1

First and foremost the entire Hendersonville High School Soccer program would like to extend well-wishes to Laura Getsman of Father Ryan. Laura suffered an injury with 13 minutes left in the game; had to be taken by ambulance to the hospital. We wish you speedy recovery, Laura!
Now... how do you defend a 2-1 lead with just over six minutes left in the game? You reach into the reserve tank, and leave nothing behind. You win every ball, you challenge every play, you press like there's no tomorrow. That seems to be what our Lady Commandos did tonight. After netting the first score of the night on the 28th minute of the second half on a direct kick from Taren Brown, Sherri-Lynn VanEs played a perfectly placed ball with her head and into the net. Just one minute twenty later, Madison Kentner found the back of the Lady Irish's net for the second score. Father Ryan's lone score came with 6:40 left in the contest. After that, the defensive effort by the entire team, brought the victory home.
