Hendersonville 2 - Riverdale 1

It didn't take but a couple of minutes for Riverdale Lady Warrior Soccer to connect for the first score of the game against visiting Hendersonville, but in true Lady Commando style, poise and toughness was tonight's prevalent theme for with the clock showing just 11 minutes left in the first half, Maleya Garrison took an assist from fellow sophomore Mackenzie Cox to even things up. Hendersonville's offensive effort paid dividends less than 120 seconds later as Melissa Govea assisted by Courtney Leath scores for the teams second and concluding goal of the night.

The excitement of the “opening game” and the “home opener” was trumped by the heat and two very tough opponents. Although the team did not have the desired results on the scoreboard, improvement and effort was evident.

The JV defeated BGA 2-1 in a thrilling game on Tuesday at The Field of Dreams. This coming week, we look forward to Brentwood and Franklin, traditionally two very worthy opponents.
The second week of the season will bring more of the same for both squads so we can expect to see higher intensity from everyone on the field.

On Monday, the JV will travel to play the Bruins of Brentwood at 5:30 and the Lady Rebels of Franklin at 7:00 on Wednesday. The Varsity will match up with Riverdale Tuesday at 7PM.
Labor Day weekend will bring the top seeded teams in the state to partake in the Hendersonville Classic on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Please check our website for game times.

The team would like to thank everyone for the great support!

Centennial 3 - Hendersonville 2

It took less than two minutes for senior Melissa Govea to unassisted find the back of the visiting team's net for the first score of the game for the Lady Commandos, and just twenty minutes or so later, Govea's perfectly placed cross finds teammate Kayla VanEs as she heads the ball past Centennial's keeper for the second and unfortunately, last score of the night for Hendersonville. Tonight's opponent scored once in the first half as the clock read 28 minutes. Centennial's second tally came with just 14 minutes and change to go in the game to knot up the score at 2-all, but with 3:20 remaining, a penalty kick was awarded to and cashed in by the visitors for their final score.

Hendersonville 1 - Gallatin 2

May 3rd., The Commandos traveled to Gallatin tonight for the final game of the regular season to face the Green Wave. Although the final score did not reflect the desired outcome for Hendersonville, for Gallatin came out on top being one better than the Commandos, the strength of the play could be measured by intangibles such as heart, determination, desire and guts. All these put our boys in great position as they enter tournament play on Monday, May 7th as they return to Gallatin to play against Beech at 4pm. Final score, Gallatin 2 - Hendersonville 1.

Hendersonville 2 - Brentwood 4

April 26th., Tennessee's AAA second ranked team, Brentwood HS came calling tonight, and at least during the first half of the game, Hendersonville gave them all they could handle. The game, for the most part was played between the 18's; a midfield challenge with both teams displaying courage and determination. The lone score of the first half came literally with just a few seconds left for visiting Brentwood. Philip Marx and Josh Earl gave Hendersonville two scores but that was not enough as the Bruins managed three more to make the final Brentwood 4 - HHS 2. Next game for the Commandos is Tuesday May 1st vs. Mt. Juliet at home.
