Marcela Sanchez named the 2006 Tennessean "Player of the Year"

On December 22nd, The Tennessean honored Hendersonville's own Marcela Sanchez as the 2006 "Player of the Year". In addition to Marcela, named to the first "all midstate team" was Taren Brown, to the second "all midstate team" was Melissa Govea and to the third "all midstate team" was Whitney Salley. NSCAA/Adidas names Marcela Sanchez, TJ Brown and Michael Bolt to the 2006 All Region teams

In great company! Six Tennessee high School girls soccer player were honored by being named to the 2006 NSCAA/Adidas All Region III (South) team. In addition to Marcela, the following Tennessee players were also named: Kelly Dyer (St. Agnes), Alex Meehan (Bearden), Anna Frye (Collierville), Anna Fischer (Centennial) and Mollie Kinsella (St. Agnes). On the boys side, seven Tennessee high school soccer players were amongst the inductees to the 2006 NSCAA/Adidas All Region III (South) team, amongst them were Hendersonville's TJ Brown and Michael Bolt. Joining the duo were Dustin Dawes (BGA), Fynn Glover (Baylor), Andrew Hinkle (Bearden), Grant Shopoff (Christian Brothers) and Bryan Lowder (Brentwood). Congratulations to one and all!
